SONJARA USA: FREE TRAINING FOR WEB AND MOBILE APP DEVELOPERS AND WEB DESIGNERS/PROJECT MANAGERS ON AN PHP/MYSQL

Please save the date for an event Sonjara is hosting in Accra, Ghana in partnership with iSpace OSU.

 

May 21 and 22^nd, 2015, iSpace Foundation, Accra, Ghana, we are holding our first  free training for web and mobile app developers and web designers/project managers on an php/mysql open source platform we developed to optimize open data.

 

Fakoli (Fakoli.org) is an Open Source Framework with a CMS, discussion forums, Image gallery, blogs, etc. It also offers integration with Phone gap to make fast and easy to maintain apps for iOS, Android, and Windows.

 

Sonjara (USA) has created and maintained the framework over the past 8 years and it has been used for over 60 web applications, including many used by USAID and its implementing partners. This latest release offers an Open Data component, making it easy to create and maintain open data publication via Fakoli.

 

The training will be conducted by Andy and  Margie Joyce from USA– expert in user experience who has a ton of experience working in Africa and with ICT4 Development projects.

 

This  training will be free and refreshments will be served. Attendees should bring their laptops and ideas – the training will be hands on, allowing attendees to create sites quickly using Fakoli. Our goal is to have more users of Fakoli, as well as build relationships between Sonjara and the ICT Community in Accra and make open data easy and useful!
