I'm delighted to invite you to contribute to the forthcoming edited volume, Governing and Regulating Artificial Intelligence: A Global Perspective, to be published by Palgrave Macmillan. Most chapters have already been secured, but we are actively seeking additional contributions focused specifically on:

If your research explores governance frameworks, regulatory approaches, ethical considerations, or policy innovations related to AI in Africa, I would love to hear from you.

This volume brings together leading perspectives from around the world, and African voices and contexts are critical to shaping a truly global conversation on AI governance. Your work can help ensure that African experiences, challenges, and innovations are properly represented.
Key details:
📅 Submission deadline: August 15, 2026
📄 Chapter length: up to 8,000 words (including abstract, references, tables,
and graphs)
🌍 Theme: AI policy and regulation in Africa – open to country case studies, comparative analyses, regional frameworks, or critical policy reviews
Illustrative Chapter structure:
-> Abstract (max 200 words) + 5–6 keywords
-> Introduction (approx. 2 pages)
-> Chronological description: from ethical guidelines to binding regulations (3–5 pages)
-> Main issues and stakeholder positions (5–7 pages)
-> Regulatory frameworks, legislation, institutions (5–7 pages)
-> Moving forward and takeaways (2–3 pages)
Formatting requirements (brief):
-> Times New Roman, 12 pt, single-spaced, paragraph breaks with blank lines (no indents)
-> Chicago Manual of Style (author-date system) with DOIs
-> American spelling and grammar
