This is great!
Patrick Awuah needs to be celebrated more than he is now.

Send a link to the article please.

Patrick G. Awuah Jr recently went encyclopedic on Wikipedia, the world's largest repository of free and open encyclopedic contents.

You're free to help develop the article to its maximum peak.

this is not news and has nothing to do with tech. Wikipedia can be edited by anybody anywhere so what is the big deal?

Interesting.

Well, it might seem not so techy, but at least, his contribution by establishing a techy university is worth celebrating by the techy ghanaian world. Its not its editing on wikipedia can is the point. The point is, Patrick Awuah, IS NOW on WIKIPEDIA

He's been on so many platforms and websites, but, he can now be found on the world's largest encyclopedia repository contributed by all

Thanks

It is not a record to be on wikipedia or anything else for that matter. I am not belittling the work Mr. Awuah has done in any way but how does his Wikipedia entry enhance technology in Ghana or contribute to building a better developer environment in Ghana?  I follow the JavaScript and Node.js mailing lists and I don't see them going crazy over members of both communities having Wikipedia entries. You all seem to suffer from what I call the 'mediocrity celebration syndrome' where you take the chance to celebrate every little thing. All it took for him to be on Wikipedia is someone or some people writing an article there with verified sources which to me is no big deal. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah or Doreen Andoh or anybody else for that matter can have wikipedia pages as long as the sources are verified. There is nothing special about being on wikipedia so you guys should all grow up

Kofi you are telling the entire world what stuff you're really made of...be mindful when people you claim to speak for don't even join your team. This is a public forum for not just techy folks but for tech wannabes and enthusiasts as well so before you go branding and labelling some of the members of this noble list, take a look in the mirror and ask what your friends and family will think when they see your post!

Free speech based on objectivity is vital in today's Ghana because biases and no display of tolerance really clouds development.

Here comes the barrage of ad hominem replies. Read what I wrote and read your reply then ask yourself if you addressed any of the questions I asked? Again I did not claim to represent anyone but myself. All I am asking is to keep posts on topic and not post unrelated links . Is that too much to ask?
