Hello guys!

Aside from mPower, has anyone here integrated with MTN mobile money, Tigo Cash and any other Ghanaian mobile money platform offered by the telcos? If so, 1. where do I get the API's 2. Do I have to pay to use the API's considering these are telco's we are dealing with. I will very much appreciate any answers  you have for me.

Thank you!

Usually they require you to register officially and in person with them before they do release and share APIs with you either as an individual but most often as a company/organisation, proving them as such and signing some sort of non disclosure agreement.

No direct payment made to them to the best of my knowledge but of course they gain either per transactions or a given percentage deduction when you are withdrawing your cash. :-)

 Greetings...

This post seems to touch a pain point we all have. A simple way to request payments electronically.
After reading this techcrunch post...I get the feeling we all can agitate to make 2015 our year of mobile payments in gh.
Oh...WHAT AN ORGASMIC DREAM!

 http://techcrunch.com/2015/04/19/the-year-of-mobile-payments/#.tggntz:fZTK

Please share your stories/links on apps that use the APIs beings raved about. It will surely be nice to know who is making money using these APIs and  surely motivate us to all work harder.

Hello guys!

I am back with my findings just like I promised. The long and short of it is that, integrating with the Telcos to use their mobile money API is a very slow and bureaucratic process. From what I gather I will be better of using mPower which integrates  seemlessly with existing mobile money platforms.

Regards

Selasie
