Tessera Legal Intern 2012
Paid full-time 2012 summer legal internship at Tessera. The goal of this program is
to train and mentor a highly motivated, self-directed candidate in the field of patent
litigation and licensing in our in-house legal environment.
Previous experience in, or knowledge of, the field of patent law is a plus but not
required.
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a 1L or 2L Law Student
- Minimum overall grade point average of 3.5 (4.0 point scale) or greater in law school
(please provide transcripts)
Desired Competencies and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Demonstrated personal responsibility for results
- USPTO registration a plus
Intern will be trained and supervised by in-house patent attorneys and other legal
professionals on assigned matters and will have numerous opportunities to learn about
the practice of patent litigation and licensing.
The internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain or enhance an understanding of
the practice of patent law in a business context that emphasizes client interaction within
the company. Intern will have opportunities to interact and work with multiple groups
within the company, including research and development, management, finance, and
licensing and sales.
