High Technology Start Up Class

Good Afternoon IPLA,

Professor Gallagher has asked me to share the news that GGU will be
offering a class entitled LAW 827B High Technology Start-up: Business
and Legal Issues.

Here are the details of the class:

Instructor: David Jargiello, General Counsel and Venture Partner of
Flywheel Ventures
Class Meeting: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM
Abstract: Using the venture capital financing of a start-up as a
transactional model, students will learn the practical mechanics of
how a business transaction is structured and implemented from term
sheet to closing. A principal goal of the course is to convey
practical lawyering skills - client conseling, contract drafting, and
negotiation - transferable to any business transaction. Coursework
covers the documentation of closing a prefered stock financing of a
venture-backed start-up.
