SPEAKER:
Rajiv Patel, Fenwick and West (Mountain View)
On September 16, 2011, the U.S. introduced significant new changes to
our patent law system – the America Invents Act. These changes included
new ways in which patents could be challenged through administrative
processes at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. More recently, the
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office began releasing potential new rules for
these proceedings. This presentation takes a look at what post-grant
proceedings are, or soon will be, available under the America Invents
Act and what the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office rules may be for
implementing those proceedings.
