Here it is! The 125 mile ride information - this is it, you guys. The last of the long rides. See attachments.

All Riders Meet: 7:45 AM at Mike’s Bikes in Sausalito, ride ready. Course review, begins by 7:50 AM. Departing at 8:00 AM from the dirt parking lot along the bike path at Mike’s Bikes

Final Peak Ride: The purpose of this ride is to gain extended saddle time, not to see how fast you can complete this ride. Ride more conservatively if you tend to start off too fast, upper zone 2+. For most of you, this will be your longest ride to date and will take well over seven, eight, or even nine hours. Between finding the IronBeetle Support Car, at least several towns along this route will offer you the opportunity to purchase food or refill your water bottles. You have a very long day in store for you; take care of your needs while remaining conscientious of time spent at any rest stop.

AID Support: The IronBeetle will sweep the course moving from the front to back of the pack. Main support stop points include:
·      Rancho Nicasio
·      Petaluma Cheese Factory or top of Petaluma Hill Road
·      Olema
The IronBeetle will have:
·      Gatorade Performance
·      Gu Gels & chomps
·      Water
·      Watermelon, bananas, pretzels, etc.
·      Extras: water bottles, pump, first aid kit, extra wheel (front), some spare tubes (always carry 2), etc. (the basics)

Safety to you and others:
·      Ride single file
·      No headsets
·      Stop at stop signs
·      Give way to drivers
·      EAT! So your mind stays clear

Course Description: The course map is based upon a 125-mile ride starting from the South/East Golden Gate Bridge parking lot.

Marin Riders: You will need to add on additional distance to reach the prescribed distance. It is suggested that you do this before the group meets while your legs, mind, and motivations is fresh. It’s 8 miles to the top of Camino Alto and back – that’s one option.
·      Marin 125 mi riders, +12 miles
·      Marin 120 mi riders, +7 miles

SF riders:
·      120 miles, turn around at the base of Bolinas Fairfax Road on HWY 1
·      125 milers, turn around 2.5 miles from Bolinas Fairfax Road, DO NOT RIDE TO STINSON BEACH – YOU’VE GONE TOO FAR.

Please review the directions prior to your ride.  Link onto MapMyRide and from here, you can view the complete course...zooming in and out.
