Does anybody have working instructions to install the latest Dev in
Windows? I've tried the following: -

1. Downloading the zip file from http://github.com/hadley/ggplot2 ,
then in
RGui selecting Packages-->install packages from local (zip) file. R
then says "updating HTML package descriptions", but then
the command 'library(ggplot2)' responds with
'Error in library(ggplot2) : 'ggplot2' is not a valid installed
package'. It's then necessary to re-install the stable release from
CRAN.

2. Downloading the zip file from http://github.com/hadley/ggplot2 ,
and RTools from http://www.murdoch-sutherland.com/Rtools/ . Then
extracting the zip file to a folder called ggplot2 and running the
command R CMD INSTALL ggplot2. The source code then compiles and
installs, however loading R then running the command 'library
(ggplot2)' gives: -

> library(ggplot2)
Loading required package: proto
Loading required package: grid
Loading required package: reshape
Loading required package: plyr
General Polygon Clipper Library for R (version 1.4-4)
Type 'class ? gpc.poly' for help

Error in proto(ScaleContinuous, expr = { :
object 'ScaleContinuous' not found
Error : unable to load R code in package 'ggplot2'
Error: package/namespace load failed for 'ggplot2'

Again it's necessary to re-install the stable version from CRAN.

Any ideas?
