I'm not sure how to do what you want, but you should probably check out the gridSVG package and perhaps Shiny from RStudio.

Hello,

I'm trying to generate a plot using ggplot2 and save it in an svg file. Then I would like to load this file in my C++ application and create an interactive plot there where I can identify the datapoints the user has picked by identifying the pixels that span a drag&drop selection of the user.

I know I could do that with base graphics using the grconvertX and grconvertY functions.

Is it possible to do the same in ggplot2?

I have been looking for an answer for several hours now but I couldn't find anything clear.

Thank you,
Laura

Thanks a lot, both links are quite interesting, I believe the first one might hold the answer to my question although it looks like it will take a bit of reading to get there.
