Hi,

I'm just wondering if there's a good reason the default centering of
the y-label has been changed to left justified in theme_bw()?

I've just run some old code and it took me about 30 minutes to track
this down! There might be a good reason for this new default but in my
case it resulted in a label partially cut and odd-looking.

p <- qplot(1, 1) + ylab(" i am a label")

m.theme <- theme_bw()
theme_set(m.theme )
p

m.theme$axis.title.y <- theme_text(vjust = 0.5, angle=90)
theme_set(m.theme )

p

(see also the penultimate figure in section 8.8.1 of the book)

Best regards,

baptiste
