I am getting started with R and I am having big trouble getting
ggplot2 to load into R. Can someone please provide me with the code
or steps to load the program? Thanks a million!

Have you tried

install.packages('ggplot2')
library(ggplot2)

If it worked when you type

?qplot

it should pop up with a help window, if not, an error.

Hi David,

I entered the commands just as you indicated, but I feel like I should
be unzipping something, etc. before I enter those commands. Thanks
for your help.

Hello,

This is the error message I am receiving. I have downloaded and
extracted the ggplot2 files on my desktop and entered the following
command:

> install.packages("ggplot2")
Warning: unable to access index for repository
http://lib.stat.cmu.edu/R/CRAN/bin/windows/contrib/2.8
Warning: unable to access index for repository
http://www.stats.ox.ac.uk/pub/RWin/bin/windows/contrib/2.8
Warning message:
package ‘ggplot2’ is not available

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You shouldn't need to download anything - the fact that you are
getting errors when running install.packages indicates that something
is going wrong. Are you behind a firewall?
