Hello all,

All things being equal without modifying any theme etc, what is the
default font that is outputted in a typical ggplot? I can't tell just
from looking (sorry!) and can't seem to find this info otherwise.

Thanks in advance!

Sam

Hi,

it depends on the devices and the environment.
Basically, in R, font system is quite complicated.

see

?quartzFonts
?windowsFonts
?pdfFonts

etc.

Sam, The default font family in ggplot2 is "sans." I just learned it while searching for the same answer.
