Regarding variables such as ..density.. and ..count.., are there others?  Is there a list somewhere that identifies/defines them?  Does not seem available on help files.

Thanks

There is some info in the ggplot book:

I would look up in stackoverflow the rest, or just ask there. For example, there are variables such as the ..PANEL.. that aren´t documented and hadley´s advice is not to use them.

My understanding was that these were created by the various
stat_functions, and are documented there (i.e., in the stat_* help
pages). Or are you talking about something else?

Hmm ... interesting.  If I understand you correctly ... then ...

Since the help page for stat_sum indicates its value is a data.frame with additional columns "n" and "prop", that would mean that variables "..n.." and "..prop.." would be available for mapping.

That's great.  Thanks.

Yes, that is my understanding of how it works. Though I dimly recall
that not all stat_* functions list all the values they return...

Best,
Ista
