Hello,

It seems that the ggplot2 documentation is not accessible at docs.ggplot2.org anymore.
Chrome says :  "The server at docs.ggplot2.org can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. "

Is it a momentary issue or has the doc moved somewhere else ? Is it available elsewhere ?

Thanks for helping... (I am in a hurry)

http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/ggplot2/ggplot2.pdf is a pdf that looks largely up-to-date.

If you want hypertext, Google's cached page may be the best option until they fix it.

If you find it irritating to go back to the cache for every new page you want to see, consider the following plugin:

Good luck!

Yeah, the docs are also missing for me (have been for some weeks now). Strangely I sent a Tweet to Hadley and he said they are working fine for him. Maybe some wierd DNS / Server issue that is only affecting some people?

I just checked again.  I see the ggplot2 0.9.2.1 index at:

Assuming you've already flushed your cache and reloaded the page:

Non-authoritative answer:
Address:  54.231.1.148
Aliases:  docs.ggplot2.org

That suggests some issues between your network and amazon's cloud servers, whether you're pointing to another server or your network admin  is filtering or blocking some cloud content.

I hope that this helps.  Good luck.

Yes, I used them last week and again now.  For those who can't access them: Can you ping ggplot2.org ?  Can you access it using the opendns servers for dns:
  • 208.67.222.222
  • 208.67.220.220

Thanks Troy and Tom. I'm afraid I don't really *get* DNS stuff though, so if you want me to test something you'll have to give me some simpler instructions. That said, I opened a cmd prompt and tried to ping the two addresses Troy gave, and it didn't work. Request timed out. In the meantime I've emailed our local IT people to see if they have any ideas. I work at a large University, who don't tend to block *anything* on the internet, so it's pretty odd.
