Explain that the angle should be in radian units, not degrees. Explain which cardinal directions are which radians (e.g., North is pi/2, West is Pi, etc.)
Explain how the angle/radius combine to show the spoke and how that will be affected by drastic differences in the scales/units of the data displayed on each axis. |

Examples are appropriate and work fine.
