I have packages "A" and "B" in the current directory. "A" depends on "B" and also on "C" where "C" is on CRAN.  install_local("A") will install "A" and also automatically installs "C" but not "B".   Is there any facility in devtools to enable it to pull in "B" automatically too if only told about "A"?

Hi Gabor,

I think you sent this to the wrong mailing list, but the answer
currently is no: there's no way to tell devtools how to resolve
non-cran dependencies.
