150th year of Mahatma Gandhi celebration

We have been communicating to you the various activities we have been conducting on Gandhian Vision and Swach Bharat.
On this auspicious day we started our day with spinning yagna followed by inter religious prayer, where we chanted songs of all religion including “Vaishnava Janatho”. We have also listened eloquent speeches of the students on Gandhi.
The students of Lakshmi College of Education taken a pledge to propagate and implement the vridhas of Gandhi by involving the community members.
We have rededicated ourselves to the Khadi movement and we have discussed with Khadi workers from the villages about introducing new designs in Khadi to attract youngsters and at the same time taking care of their lively hood by increasing the wages.
The services of Dr.Kousalya Devi was recognised by DHAN Foundation and an award was given to her which was received and shared with her.
The children of Sowbhagya Illam and Soundram Illam have been participating in many events on Gandhi and they have also displayed their wonderful craft skill. We have distributed Gandhian literature books to the students.
The week long programme is on till our Anniversary on 7th October and we will be keeping you informed about the activities.
We request your support and guidance, so that all of us can rededicate ourselves to the Gandhian Principles and follow the footsteps of Gandhi and other Founders of our Organisation.
