The Bay Area Garden Railroad Society, and the South County Railroaders invite you to the 17th Annual Garden Railroad Tour. What a great excuse for a Volkswagen cruise! Here are the particulars:

What: Garden Railroad Tour
When: Saturday, August 20
Meet: The cruise will leave from the south side of Princeton Plaza at 9am.
*There's a great breakfast place on the south side called Cup N Saucer if you are an early riser.
Where: Start at Princeton Plaza and cruise down to our first stop at Dr. Pete's San Martin Railway.

From there we have the opportunity to visit up to 9 more garden railroads which cumulatively add up to over 100 miles if we do all of them. This event benefits St. Joseph's Center and Community Pantry so please food or monetary donation. Below are links with all the pertinent data you'll need. I'll have directions printed up but if you want the full experience please print up the tourbook on your own.

Help! It seems like there's always a wrinkle in the best laid plans. Can one of you be in charge of being at Princeton Plaza early? I talked to Jimmy this morning and found that he will be at a VW show in SoCal. Cathy is on vacation until Friday but is planning to be on the cruise. I'm planning to be on the cruise as well but Mary and I have an early Saturday balloon setup in San Francisco so I can't guarantee that I will make it to Princeton Plaza before the scheduled leave time. The newsletter says to meet at 8:30 so it would be good if someone would volunteer to be that person.
