12/15 - Annual B.L.T.N. Christmas Light Cruise!

So it's that time of year again for our annual Christmas light cruise!
We had a good route last year but had some technical difficulties, which we will be ensuring do not happen again this year, so that nobody misses out on anything! I will be heading up the cruise, primarily through the Willow Glen area of San Jose... I am currently working on finalizing the route and I will try to make sure I post up directions for everyone sometime midweek once I have everything finalized.

Come join us for a nice cruise and see some of the best Christmas displays in San Jose!

We will be meeting up by Safeway/McDonalds (park in front of McDonalds) at the corner of San Carlos St & Meridian Ave:
The address is 1398 W San Carlos St, San Jose, CA
Meet up at 6:00pm --- We will be departing by 6:30pm!

Our cruise will as usual include a stop at Yum Yum Donuts!

We will also cruise over to Christmas in the Park downtown at the end of the cruise for those who want to see it!

We will have several people with radios throughout the lineup on the cruise to ensure nobody gets stuck or lost anywhere... if you have a radio, please bring it out!

See you there!

We missed you. Mary misread the date too busy to pay attention. But we had a lovely ride in your absence. We started the evening with a scrumptious meal from McDonalds. After clearing up the order mistake we were of for a quick cruise by Christmas in the Park. Our T34 fit right in size wise with the rows of little houses. As I continued down Market Street and onto Willow we had occasion to lament the stark contrast between the haves and the have nots. I took a short detour past the new Habitat house going up at Humboldt and Vine. Minnesota became our compass for the rest of the trip. Our first detour was just before Bird giving us our first splashes of light followed by another several more side streets between Bird and Lincoln. After Lincoln we again took the first right we came to. This wound us through a narrow meandering neighborhood that eventually came out on Willow. Through this maze we followed the blue light snowflakes strung across the street ever hundred feet or so. We followed this path for several blocks and in multiple directions and when we emerged from this glittering wonderland we could see more beckoning on the other side of Willow. This turned into just a little loop that put us crossing Willow again one block up. Here we entered the realm of contestant number 2 with their own different style of glittering snowflakes overhead. Alright. Now we've had our light sensors quenched and are re energized for the holiday season. And the T34 is all bundled up to keep cozy from the coming rains. We're sorry we missed you. But we had fun anyway.

Merry Christmas
