RAIN?
Here's an late update on the cruise. Rain is a definite possibility
but it looks iffy so I don't want to call the cruise off until
tomorrow when I look out the window. My biased opinion in matters of
rain cancellations is to play it like baseball. That is, light rain
showers do NOT halt the game. I rode the route this morning and its an
absolutely beautiful time of year to do the cruise. Bring your
cameras. Again, meet at 9am, leave at 9:30am, lunch at 12:30.

LUNCH IS STILL ON AT MARK'S SHOP.
Armadillow Willy's catered.

Larry

I am so disappointed that the weather has finally changed. But we do need the rain. I am not going to be able to go - my car is definately not set up for rain.  I was really looking forward to the trip too - and I am gassed up ready to go

See you for lunch. Again - I am sorry -  next time!

Larry,
I'm still game for the drive.
Judging at the hour-by-hour (2:30am) look on the weather.com, the rain should decrease by 8am.
Should be fine by the time the cruise starts.

Sorry I can't be there to join you. Will be at work, but thinking VW as the
day goes on. Niles Canyon is the route of the Oakland-Chicago California
Zephyr, one of the most scenic train rides in the country. The scenery is
also really nice from a car, 'specially a vintage VW! My thoughts will be
out there with you.

Pete

It was a great ride followed by great food from Armadillo Willy's.
We'll be getting some pictures up on the club site and a write-up in
the newsletter, but here's a teaser: http://home.comcast.net/~sonofed/GGCVVWCA/GGC1107_053a.jpg

Hey Pete, We had fun. When we passed the trains I did
think you would know all about them. We also had a
great time at Marks. I hope you get more VW time soon.
