I have been trying to download G96 Windows binaries from the G95 site but am having no luck at all.
The HTTP download site jut does not respond at all, and the FTP site requests a user id and password (that has never before happened before).

I tried e-mailing Andy twice, but so far no response.

Can someone tell me what's going on?  Has the G95 project become inactive or is it still alive?
Does anyone know where I can download Doug Cox's most recent MinGW-G95 binary builds for Windows-XP?

Don,
I found that the G95 files had not been updated for the Mac OSX Lion, so I went to the GCC site and downloaded the gfortran compiler. The site credits Andy as being a major contributor. It may be that this is where his energy is being directed. Gfortran works well, you will just need to change the compiler options that you used with g95. The options are little hard to decipher at first, but the compiler works well.

Not having G95 for MinGW is a major loss for me.  gfortran did not work(when I last tried six months ago)with gnumex and Matlab when compiling mex files. G95 worked right out of the box. :(

Don,
Have you found a solution to this problem?
I have the identical problems as you described.

I have got exactly the same issue. If you ever find a solution, I would be highly interested.

Thanks,

Regards,

Please look at the g95 Windows binary (Mingw) available on Fortran.com thread.

Oh, so Andy went over to gfortran? That explains why the gfortran compiler got such a big boost all of a sudden. A couple of years ago it would panic at the first sight of any complicated object, allocatable array and pointer structure...

I guess it's time to move to gfortran then?

I don't know why you drew this conclusion. AFAIK Andy is not working on gfortran. Since gfortran is part of gcc and is supported by a group of developers, I think it makes sense to use it in addition to g95.

Hi,

If someone still try to get g95 for Windows platforms, you can test this link : http://math.hawaii.edu/~dale/190/fortran/g95-MinGW.exe
It works on W8, W7.
Hope it can help.

There is a version available at fortran.com.

We just have it there as a courtesy.
We haven't done anything with it or know
anything about what version, etc.

Tx Walt!

fortran.com is the basic.

I realized, but too late, that Beliavsky have told about fortran.com thread inhis answer.

It is strange, but this thread is not the main that appears in a google search (or elsewhere) when you get this problem....
