Thismod is a clone of the "Orchid Plant" from the base game with the option to add interactions to any double bed for the "working" populace of your town. This is a mod by Ani_ from MTS. All credits for it go to her.

I have 3 sims who's occupation is to work at the police station. 2 have specialized roles and one is a rookie. Sometimes all 3 of them can be at the station working at the same time and sometimes only 2 of them. Why is this? How do I get all 3 of them to work at/in the station at the same time?

About my first prototype with an HL7800-M module. Firmware is latest 4.4.6.0. I have 3 SIM cards from the same M2M sim card company. Two of the cards worked and connected immediately. AT+COPS reported the operator T-Mobile. A 3rd card for some reason connects though AT&T, and takes up to a minute before it decides to connect.

I just built 2 new HL7800-M prototypes on a new PCB version. All the relevant wiring is the same. Firmware is latest 4.4.6.0. Suddenly the 2 cards that had worked do not connect. The 3rd SIM that reported as AT&T still delays before connecting, but AT+COPS now says the operator is name of the SIM card vendor instead of AT&T as before.

I have an RF probe connected to an oscilloscope with which I can tell when the module transmits. With the 2 similar SIMs the HL7800 never transmits. Apparently these SIMs never attempt to connect. AT+COPS? result 0 (not searching).

I know the hardware is working because with the 3rd SIM there is a big transmit signal when it eventually decides to connect. Both of the new prototypes work similarly with all SIMs. Unfortunately I cannot compare to the first prototype because I used those parts for one of the second prototypes. See my last post " HL-7800 Easily Damaged By Soldering?" They may not have been damaged by soldering. They just stopped working with the 2 SIMs.

I just tried a brand new SIM card from the same SIM vendor. It connected immediately. It seems that 2 old SIMs stopped working in the HL7800 at a point in time although they still work great in the TELIT module. And the point in time they stopped working was when I was assembling and testing the new PCB prototype version.

Hi Garrick,

It looks like your device does not search any network.

Please help to check the antenna, make sure that it is plugged.

And please contact your SIM provider to check the correct APN.

And set fewer supported band (as previous comment) to see the device could register to network or not.

Well this is new. I just tried the command above the SIM vendor suggested and instead of giving and error it said OK. It immediately auto-registered. I have another non registering SIM and I will go over the steps to see if I can find exactly what step fixed it.

I have an S21 ultra dual sim. I was traveling internationally and had the sim 1 slot turned off in the sim card manager so I didn't incur roaming charges. When I landed home I opened the sim card manager and turned off the sim 2. Normally this automatically turns on the other sim card. But it flipped out and exited the sim card manager. So I effectively have both sims turned off and get no mobile signal at all

I tried to reload the sim card manager but when I tap it, it either does nothing, tries to enter the sim card manager and then exists before it can load anything, or gives me an error message related to call settings. The only way for me to load the sim card manager is to take both sim cards out. Otherwise it won't load it it gives an error.

@soleilombre could try these steps in following order. Turn off the phone and remove sim cards, Clean the sim cards and tray with a dry cloth and reinsert the sim cards- ensuring they are properly inserted and restart the phone. Are you able to test the cards in another phone?

If the sim cards work fine in another phone which would rule them out as the issue then the next steps wpuld maybe a back up and factory reset and or letting a Samsung Service Centre have hands on @soleilombre

I have the same issue. I am travelling and installed eSIM. When I switched off my main sim card, the sim card manager crashed and now I can't access the sim card manager anymore. I did the latest update, nothing works.

Yeah,

I too have experienced wacky softbody caching issues. I have not worked directly with cloth, but I think I know what you mean. I do a rewind, then find the folder on my heard drive where the cache is stored and delete the entire folder. Then I hit play again and it regenerates correctly.

Some action you took erased the data in the cloth cache folder. This can happen any number of ways, some of which may not seem to be connected to the Cloth object, like applying a Modifier to a collision object.

Everything listed, I have already taken into consideration.

Everything looks good.

Everything is on layer one.

It is visible in the interactive display and render.

It is enabled.

Collision is still set up the way it was when it was working.

After changing my personal number to eSim, and use dual sim for work phone, my iMessage stopped working for either number. And in Settings-iMessage, both numbers are waiting for Verification and don't know how to verify though...

I tried selecting my number and all it did was continue to spin endlessly. Ultimately, after trying to restart my phone several times, I got it to work by logging out and back in with my Apple ID. My phone is a 13 Pro. It didn't take too long because I have another Apple device.

Initially, my network service provider did not correctly perform a sim swap to change my sim from physical sim to esim, but had instead add an esim to my account as they offer for people who want to use additional devices linked to their phones ie watches, etc.

Then there was iMessage - After sorting out the sim swap I then tried to activate iMessage and after switching it on I left it at that for 24 hours for the function to activate. It did not activate within the 24 hours. I then tried again and within a couple of hours the function was activated and is now working since yesterday afternoon.

So it does seems like a bit of a patience game provided the sim swap is done properly. iMessage needs sms functionality in order to activate, so if any option made for esim etc does not have the sms functionality active, iMessage will fail to activate.

If you have already sorted out the esim and smses work, then my suggestion is to select activate and leave it for atleast 24 hours. If it fails after 24 hours, try it again and leave it. Do not disable and enable repeatedly as iMessage takes time to activate.

I also have the same problem I have a primary eSIM and physical secondary sim which is not online when I went to settings>messages>send and receive > my number is not appearing as an address only my mail is appearing there are no other numbers

Usually a data-only sim card will also work in an iPhone or Android device (without voice). You could try popping these sim cards into a cell phone to validate whether or not the sim cards are actually working. This would rule out the sim cards being the issue.

You can use an electrical contact cleaner like DeoxIT or Stabilant-22, though they're overkill. Isopropyl alcohol will work fine, though it's a weak solvent so you may need to do some "real" scrubbing with a toothbrush or q-tips or lint-free cloth wrapped around a wooden toothpick - electrical grade anhydrous (>99.9% pure) isopropyl would be ideal, but any drugstore 70% stuff will work fine as long as it doesn't have perfumes or other additives which might leave a conductive residue.

Thank you all for your responses and taking the time to help me troubleshoot my issue. Just wanted to give an update as I've resolved to just get a new phone. As a few of you previously mentioned, the phone I had previously was not going to work on the network... So I ended up grabbing a Telus Pre-Paid Alcatel Go Flip which meets all of our requirements (and more!). Plugged the sim card in (nano-sim) to the slot and it worked with no issues It's got big buttons, a large enough screen and basic functionality fitting for any senior or technologically challenged users!

@Mindless There are some stores that still sell older phones, but you would have to ether try SIM card in them to see if they work OR you have to write down model number and check theirs supporting frequencies online before buying.

I just plugged the original Rogers SIM back in and it detected it right away so I'm thinking it's the sim card size/slot issue? The chip on that card is slightly larger so maybe it won't function with the newer sims?

I can only access the phone if the SIM is detected, else it only allows me to SOS call. So using the old sim - it says "Unregistered SIM" but I can now access phone menu items. I tried to change some settings but it will not allow me to.

I think I may just need to get a new basic phone - but I'm not sure where I can find one for cheap. Basically, the phone is for my 100 year old grandfather so technology is his enemy when it comes to smartphones. I wish I could just get a Nokia 8210 or something of the like!

Thank you for your suggestions. Unfortunately, I have tried several ways to add thickness (tape and paper/card stock) to enhance the contact of the chip but found no success. I even have a SIM Card Adapter and it doesn't seem to make any difference either (the adapter has a back on it and actually makes the chip area stick out a bit more). The error message remains the same when I turn on the phone so that's why it makes me wonder if the chip size actually makes a difference.

@Mindless, The chip area shouldn't make a difference. Perhaps you are simply not getting good contact due to thickness. That is, because you are using the detachable rings, it could be that at the point where the contacts are, the contacts are not being pushed up against the phone properly. The reality is that the newer , smallest SIM size is also a tiny bit thinner. If it is safe (don't want it to get stuck anywhere), you could try putting a small piece of tape on the back side, in hopes that this would put some downwards pressure and get better contact.
