gf files from cf file

Hi,

Is there a better way to generate gf files from a cf file, without assembling it by hand?

like in this repository:
https://github.com/smucclaw/sandbox/tree/default/aarne
In the slides it says the gf files are generated by GF software + post editing, but I'm not sure what the process is and if there's a more automated way to do it.
