As updates come out is there any work to create an updater to automate the updates like in Mura?

No there isn't as far as I know. I don't want to speak on Simon's behalf, but to me Xindi is designed to be as lightweight as possible, so adding things like an auto updater, is going to bloat the code. You could of course, create a script which could grab a zip, extract etc but I don't think that should be part of the Xindi core. Just my 2c :)

Yes, I agree with John W's comment. I see Xindi as being pretty much feature complete in terms of a lightweight CMS.

Hi guys, just thought I'd weigh in, I can see that Xindi is in fact quit complete as a simple CMS as it claims to be. I have been using it to explore further the world of FW/1 and (with J.Whish's excellent book on CF ORM) CF ORM.I think there are plenty of ways to extend the code to suit your purposes, rather than wait for any further development of the Xindi code base. It is perfect as it is!
Using Xindi to create a page reference then creating a route is an easy bridge to even more dynamic code. I have my jQuery in a view file for example, which opens up new possabilities etc.
Xindi rocks!

Yup - as FW/1 supports subsystems it's pretty easy to create a bunch of subsystems to provide more specialised functionality which you can (almost!) drop into any FW/1 application.

BTW: glad you like the book Tony :)
