Youare correct that this is SAM, there are a couple of built in components that might do what you need - File Exists or even the File Age monitor, and there are script monitors that allow you to create your customized monitors.

My question is looking at the settings for the Statistic Threshold, how do those work? The developer needs to get an alert if new files are added. So let's say we have a directory with 50 files in it and we add 10 files into the directory. Would my warning threshold be 50 and my critical be some previously determine max number of files we want in the directory? The logic isn't clicking with me.

Testing the File Count monitor component looks like it's going to be the solution. My last question is if there is a way to monitor the creation/deletion of directories in SW? All of the file monitors I've seen need to specify a file when necessary. The only directory monitor I see monitors directory size.

You can set the BMV to be a DC Load Monitor instead of the usual SOC monitor and so see the power in Watts directly, but you only get to see the data at the point of time and nothing is logged, so I kept it as a regular SOC setup and just ignore the SOC info. (Maybe Victron will at some time start logging the Load Monitor info? would be very useful!)

In your case, the AMC 60A B2B would be the Orion DC-DC, the BMV-712 would be a SmartShunt, and you could if you wanted connect the Starter Battery to the Remote Plug if you use that feature, or to the Starter Battery (which is interesting actually as you can do a useful comparision of how it converts the level of voltage in to voltage out).

Interra Systems' ORION is a real-time content monitoring system that enables service providers to deliver error-free, superior quality video. ORION provides real-time monitoring of IP-based infrastructures that looks at all aspects of video streams such as QoS, QoE, closed captions, ad-insertion verification, reporting and troubleshooting. ORION performs critical monitoring functions on hundreds of services simultaneously from a single platform, providing an operator with a single point of visibility and access to important information such as, status, alerts, alarms, visible impairments, error reports, triggered captures and more. ORION effortlessly monitors streaming content scaling single to multiple monitoring units/ sites across different geographical locations.

All data can be viewed real-time or logged into ORION for performance analytics in customized reports for specific regulatory standards such as, FCC closed captioning requirements and CALM/EBU loudness. ORION is ready for future networks with support for 4K HEVC and virtualized monitoring probes today.

With SCTE-35 monitoring and thumbnail capture, ORION provides proof positive for ad and program insertion. Having a record of a problem is also useful to service providers as they look for ways to improve content quality and correct errors.

ORION's easy to use web interface lets users drill down from MPEG-2 TS to video payload errors. The scalable, flexible platform also offers extended APIs facilitating integration with 3rd party data collectors for seamless NOC integration. ORION further aids the deployment with compatibility with off the shelf hardware and complete remote access with REST APIs.

Similar to VMs, containers isolate applications and their dependencies into self-contained units that can run anywhere without interfering with each other. Unlike VMs that each have their own virtual OS and hardware, containers share the host system kernel with other containers to save space, increase efficiency, and improve developer productivity.

Container entities also appear in related Performance Analysis (PerfStack) dashboards. For example, if you monitor TCP Port Monitor and Average Response Time metrics for an application on a server that hosts a containerized environment and you also track CPU utilization for different containers running throughout the history of the application's deployment, you can examine historical data to see what happened for containers running at different points in time.

Hi everyone! I am hoping to get some clarity here on what level was used to calibrate the Orion 32+ Gen 3's Monitor Outputs - in particular whether a -20 dBFS or -18 dBFS 1kHz sine wave was used to to calibrate the outputs to +4dBu?

If you are wondering why I want to know, it is because I would like to calibrate my analog monitoring chain and my speakers. Being the Orion is first in the chain I want to know what the outputs are calibrated to.

I wrote Antelope Tech support and they could not answer this question...which is kinda crazy considering the Orion is an expensive piece of hardware used in a professional setting. That said, if any of you kind folks can confirm whether it is -20 or -18 I'd be mighty grateful. Thanks!

Airflow monitor modules (AFM) and airflow monitor kits provide an economical solution for indicating fan or blower airflow. The AFM module has a contact closure that activates when airflow falls below 8.2 ft/s due to fan filter clogs or foreign materials coming in contact with the fan blade. They are field retrofittable and mount via a clip or a clamp to a protective plastic grill or guard.

Is it possible to monitor an individual service on a VM? I'm wanting to load balance our Orion SolarWinds servers. There are 2 @ datacenter1 and 1 @datacenter2. One of datacenter1's servers (ServerA) is a polling agent and a web server. The other (ServerB) is a secondary web server. The single server at datacenter2 (ServerC) is a polling/web server. SolarWinds is set up for HA failover.

My goal is to have the F5 be able to determine when the polling services has moved from ServerA to ServerC, and then mark ServerA down. I'm thinking all 3 servers need to be in the same pool? I have a test pool created now with a simple https monitor enabled. All pool members are showing UP. Our admin team for SolarWinds has designated the server service "SolarWinds Information Service V3" as the service that will determine if polling services are active on a particular server.
