Recently, Getty Digital and the Getty Research Institute made the reconciliation service for OpenRefine publicly available. For those who are already familiar with how the reconciliation functionality in OpenRefine works, you can begin connecting your data to the Getty Vocabularies using the URL:
http://services.getty.edu/vocab/reconcile/
The tutorial also contains information on properties, such as broader concepts, birth date, death date, and place types, that can be used to further filter your results.
More information and features will become available in the near future. Right now, the service performs a basic search on each Vocabulary individually. The service does NOT do auto-matching, but does sort matches with the highest score to the top of the results list. Future enhancements will allow users to search across all Vocabularies and will provide the ability to search the service using URL-encoded JSON via HTTP GET.
Thank you for your interest.
