vocab.getty.edu "temporarily degraded"

The  Getty Vocabularies LOD Site (vocab.getty.edu/sparql) returns "service temporarily degraded" for over 24h (~= temporarily?)

Is this service (re)moved, or is there a documentation page with more info on the roadmap (discussed on  5 May 2026, 22:52:26 ) ?

[Getty Vocabularies LOD]

The Getty Vocabularies LOD site (vocab.getty.edu) has been experiencing traffic volume that amounts to a "Denial of Service" attack for many weeks now. Our cloud server administrators are looking at options for implementing rate limiting, but no solution has been put in place yet.

More information will be forthcoming over the next few months on the complete overhaul of the services offered by the Getty Vocabularies. Thank you for your continued patience and interest in the Getty Vocabularies.

Thanks for the update Gregg,

when the traffic comes from (ai) bots: we used Anubis for that and helped out a lot. Not all bots were properly identifying so normal traffic management became hard.
