Transportation Committee and Complete Streets

Folks who were at the March GAIT meeting will remember that I took some action items toward preparing a letter from GAIT about the Complete Streets projects planned for this year.

I had a meeting with Gary Costa and Rory Cameron of Public Works Engineering and based on what I heard there I decided that a letter from GAIT and/or our membership would be overkill at this point. I wrote a little bit about this on the GAIT blog last week and would welcome your comments there or via email.

We had good response to the request for people to attend the Transportation Committee meetings. We have four people on the list for now. Another name or two would be great if you were considering it. I'll be attending this week's meeting and would encourage anyone else who can make it to join me.
