Happy Monday again, GTDers!
The late Dr. Stephen Covey said, "Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. In those choices lie our growth and our happiness." Dr. Victor Frankl (the Holocaust survivor
and father of logotherapy) used this individual power to survive Nazi concentration camps and go on to become an influential psychologist, who (in my humble opinion) has written one of the most competent books (
i.e.,
Man's Search for Meaning) on the matter of
choice. What does this all have to do with your GT
D
personal
productivity system?
Discuss! ;-)
Ready for Anything's questions for this week:
- "Have you lately gone over your checklist of your job description (four to seven key areas of focus and responsibility)?"
- "Have you reviewed the five to ten areas of focus in your personal life (health, finances, career, relationships, etc.) to ensure that you have all the needed projects defined and keep all those intact and up to standard?"
In addition, I find these questions naturally come to mind when I start taking my Areas of Focus into, well, focus:
- What is the ripple effect to the rest of my life by fleshing out all the clarifications of my personal maintenance boundaries?
Next week: Two commitments in your head create stress and failure.
Here's your productive life,
Ray
