Challenges Forum:

  1. Need strategy to get started earlier (e.g homework sets); too much extra prep (avoidance)

    1. set time boundaries

    2. really deep think the why of how come its hard to get started

    3. visually hacks - chop problem sets into small squares

    4. goal to small to fail (mini-habits)

    5. giving problem solving time - read than step away (reduce overwhelm)

  2. Weekly Review (schedule it but work schedule is very sporadic)

    1. Break down WR into chunks over a few days

    2. Have a fixed location

    3. Add another ritual to the WR (signal as a cue)

    4. schedule a meeting with yourself

    5. accountability partner

  3. Book Study on GTD (fitness)

    1. find people’s pain points and discuss from there

    2. look at the natural planning model

    3. duplicate a Dave Allen ted talks

  4. Priorities for work/family; that downtime “what should I do?”

    1. deciding in the moment vs earlier in the day or looking at free nights for the week

    2. theming days

    3. don’t forget to set awards set proportions (tangible awards)

  5. How do others do their weekly reviews (I use IQ Tell); whats a happy medium

    1. David Allen Weekly Review Podcast (its very short)

    2. Good Hierarchical structure; do you hit every domain

  6. Cloud storage management; alot of sites blocked at job need alternatives

    1. Gmail (drafts)

    2. OTiXO- cloud portal site to gdrive,box etc

  7. How can I be more of morning person?

    1. schedule the exciting thing in the morning “night before christmas feeling too excited to sleep”

    2. alarm clock for bed

    3. my morning routine.com

    4. Peak time (app checks cognitive function)

  8. How do I limit the weekly review so it's not to big or an all encompassing

    1. evernote use filters (@ read later)

    2. pocket tags; label for time to read; 5 min read vs long read;; have a must read tier

    3. list out things in excell and chunk it off pick it up during WR

    4. App: Together (Mac and iOS)

    5. Process everywhere you can (grocery, metro)

  9. How often do people conduct their reviews (daily, weekly)

    1. review become more important the crazier your life gets
