Good Monday morning, GTDers!

The Knowledge Worker Age is upon us, but that doesn’t mean we can will work into being done. (At least, not yet technologically!) Knowledge work is still work that physically needs to be completed. I think therein lies the secret to GTD’s effectiveness. It helps you bring the brain and the body together. If you need more vision, planning and goal-orienting in your life, we tend to drive our thinking into chaos (not creative space); it’s the counterintuitive but powerful practice of focusing our energies on the physical actions to bring our true priorities and creative energies to the foreground.

Here are the questions for this week from Ready for Anything:

  • "When have you had inspiration blossom from a mundane activity?"

  • "What open loop around you needs you to “dig in,” physically? Can you imagine what awaits you on the other side?"

Next week: If it’s on your mind, it’s probably not getting done.

Here’s to your productive life,

Ray
