Discussion Topic: GTD|REFRESH: Clarifying & Organizing When Your Inbox Is Overflowing

  • What gives back the most? Keep in mind when being overly creative

  • Concept: minimal effect dose

  • Rules of engagement: setting hard roles of subscription, absorbing information; set thresholds of input - sometimes I use badges and when that number reaches XX that means time to clear out something; be firm with your devious and attention

  • Filters to keep stuff out of the inbox

  • Don’t over respond - not everything warrants a response (can’t fix others life problems)

  • Emails: be firm responses (ACK- acknowledged, utilize read recipients, make it clear no action on my part)

  • Reduction of email; unroll.me - will create a master of all things subscribe and make some decision

  • Gmail inbox is good for the tabs (can be turned on/off)

  • Stickers for quickly getting through paper backlog- sticky’s examples (e.g scan, trash, for action [define the action])

  • Timers help; with keeping focus

  • Add start dates if you can for projects (less of focus on due dates) - stay in the present moment not past tense

  • G-Suite for business has a gamification (happy/sad face) for getting through email w/ speed

  • Brain.FM good background sounds w/ binaural beats using frequency

  • Get link for for free tool: follow up with Ray

  • Google added a meditation app search
