Good Monday, GTDers!
Have you ever had a song stuck in your head? Want to know how to get rid of it? Find that song and listen to the song to its end. Simple and easy; your mind likes closure. Until the song is “complete” in your mind, it keeps replaying it. Well, “stuff” on your mind is a little more complicated, but there is a solution. It’s the GTD Workflow Diagram. In a nutshell, capture it out of your head, decide on what that “stuff” is and what action to take, and decide when and where you will review these actions to start them. Voila! Your mind’s noise is quieted. Focus happens.
Here are the questions for this week from
Ready for Anything:
- “What still-unfinished things are really off your mind? How did you accomplish that?”
- “What’s still on your mind, for which the bottleneck is in your head?”
- “What else would you like to stop thinking about?”
Next week: Creativity shows up when there's space. Here’s to your productive life,
