May local elections tool launch   Dear Roger,   Last week, millions of people went to the polls to vote in English local elections. As the results came in, a team of MVM volunteers crunched the numbers, revealing the true story behind them: how distorted and unfair the results really were.   Today, we’re making that work available to everyone. We’ve built a tool that lets anyone in England check their local result. Enter your postcode and see exactly how many seats the leading party won, how many votes they actually got, and how wide the gap between the two was.       We built this tool so you can do something about this problem. Every result comes with a ready-to-send letter to your local newspaper editor. You can personalise this letter, or send it as it is.   Local papers are always looking to share the voices of people living in the community about what matters most to them. They are often read by councillors, MPs, and thousands of local residents who’ve potentially never heard the case for Proportional Representation. This is how change spreads - from the grassroots, in every community in the country.   Please share the tool with friends and family, whatever party they voted for. The unfairness of our outdated voting system hurts everyone.       The next few weeks are just as crucial, and we have a lot on the agenda. Alongside a local press push, our Local Elections Report is dropping at the end of the week. This will be vital in securing support from key MPs.  With a potential Labour leadership challenge, and the third amendment to the Representation of the People Bill coming up, there is a lot on.   P.S.
