Join us 28th of April!

Dear Roger,

The May elections are just around the corner. We know what we can expect: seats won on tiny vote shares, landslide majorities in local councils achieved without majority support, and thousands of voices ignored. Year after year, First Past the Post delivers chaos - and it’s only getting worse.

We need to use next month’s elections as an opportunity to raise the alarm, and highlight the impact that our broken voting system has on our local communities. That’s why, we’re really excited to let you know we have partnered with the fantastic Bylines Network to host a session designed to empower you to influence the media narrative in your area.

We are delighted that Ben Dickenson, Managing Director of the Bylines Network will be joining us on April 28th at 6:30 along with Emma Harrison, CEO of Make Votes Matter.

The Bylines Network takes a grassroots approach to journalism, featuring the powerful voices of citizens up and down the country and holding elected representatives to account. This session is an opportunity to hear about the media and how to use it to your advantage from someone who knows it inside-out.

Make Votes Matter supporters have been an incredible force in communicating the fight for electoral reform through the local press. This is a powerful campaigning tool; you have helped us bring the issue to the attention of thousands of people who might never have thought about electoral reform before.

Your local knowledge and your passion can help us turn the dial on our democracy.  By learning the principles of citizen journalism, you can become an essential voice, turning the injustices of the current system into headlines that local people read.

Sign up here and we look forward to seeing you there!
