If we don’t change things, a party could win 27% of the vote and get a comfortable majority at the next General Election!  What kind of mandate is that? It isn’t democracy. An opinion poll this week showed FIVE parties polling 15% of the vote or higher. Just 12% separated first place from fifth place! Yet under our current voting system, that first place party could win all the power. Now is the time for Proportional Representation:  1️⃣ More people than ever support PR -  60% of the public now want to change the voting system. 2️⃣ More MPs than ever back it - over 160 MPs from across the parties want a fairer voting system. 3️⃣ The two-party system is over - large numbers of voters are turning away from the 'two main parties'.
