Dear Roger,

We have four articles for the four-day weekend in this edition of ERS News. Mike reports on John Major’s recent intervention while Ian has been looking at the polling published across March.

Elections are coming up in parts of England, as well as Scotland and Wales, on May 7th. The election of the Senedd – the Welsh parliament – will be done under a new voting system, so ERS Cymru’s Jess Blair has explained how it will work.

All the best
