It's where you can explore the campaign, discover the changes we're working for and see how you can help build support for fairer elections. Today, we're opening the doors. Why Bigger Than Politics exists We vote. Governments change. Prime Ministers come and go.   Yet too many of us still feel our voice isn't being heard and our vote doesn't make the difference it should.   We don't think the problem is just politicians.   It's the rules underneath politics.   The rules that shape how campaigns are fought, who gets elected and how those in power are held to account.   Those rules begin shaping every election long before polling day arrives.   They shape whether people can trust the information they're given, whether wealth buys undue influence, whether votes count fairly, and whether those in power are held to account.   The rules shape the politics we get. When the rules stop working, they need to change.   Politicians won't change these rules by themselves. History tells us that change happens when people insist on it.   So it's down to us.   That's what Bigger Than Politics is about.   Real change depends on people coming together behind a shared vision of fairer elections and asking for it.   The more people who join Bigger Than Politics, the harder these ideas become to ignore. We're already working on a number of changes to make elections fairer, and you'll find them on the website today. Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing much more about each of them and why they matter – and importantly how you can get involved in making them happen.   We won't stop there, either. We'll keep working until we can genuinely say that elections in this country meet the fairness standards they should always have met.
