How to add header logo with transparent background?

Hi,

 

I'm trying to add a header logo, created in Photoshop with a transparent background, to Google site but can only get the logo to display with a white background. I've tried uploading JPG and GIF files but get the same result. Can you please tell me what I should be doing?

hi Mike

Make sure the logo is clearcut and has no background layer otherwise
the layer will show as part of the whole logo,

Save the logo as a .png file with transparency

it should be transparent in google sites now
