I'm looking for method to download all of the posts from a Google
Group to a web archive, plain text, or pretty much anything.
Does any one know of a relatively easy method for doing this? I would
really appreciate any help.

Nabble has an archiving feature for google/yahoo groups and also provides ways to backup/download the content, IIRC. I haven't tried it myself but probably worth a try.
Two potential problems:
1) It might require you to be the owner of the google group
2) It might start mirroring only the new content. I don't think that's what you want.
