Hello Parents and Skaters,

This weekend is the Short Track Age Group Nationals. Good luck to the GESS skaters who are traveling to Saratoga Springs, NY including coach Melissa!

Our last official practice of the season ended but we still have busy weeks ahead of us. I will continue with reminders next few weeks.

Pettit Meltdown Sat 3/24

This is for everyone!!  If you never been to the Pettit but always wanted to see the Olympic size oval, this is your chance! Even if you are not speedskater, you can join for 100M costume dash or just for pizza.

Last chance to race on the big oval this year! Or, a good time to try racing for the first time!

Low key, lots of fun for all ages, abilities and experience levels.

Special guest speaker and awards presented by 2010 Short Track Olympian and Silver and Bronze medalist Katherine Reutter Adamek.

Registration Deadline: Thursday, March 22nd at noon

Tour of Olympians

GESS officers continue to work hard to put the event details together. As promised, here are more details.

We will also have our recent Alumni to participate demonstration race/relay portion with our current club members. Other nearby clubs are also going to join us.

This is going to be an exciting event! Please continue to spread the word. I am currently working on a revised flyer with names of Olympians and will share with the group hopefully by tomorrow. Also, Facebook page will be updated soon. 

We ask everyone to help us make this a successful event. Please consider helping as a volunteer and/or bring a snack for this event:

April Spring Ice Session 

For those looking for Spring ice we have our April session scheduled for April 8th, 15th and 22nd from 4-6 (off ice 4-4:40 on ice 5-6).  All athletes are welcome.  The sessions will focus on technique (vs endurance/speed).
