Good luck to the GESS Skaters that are competing in US Long Track Olympic Trials today! There are 5 of you, with more to come in the following days distances.

We are so proud of you all! And thankful for the leadership and expertise of GESS Alum Long Track Head Coach Eric Cepuran!

We look forward to watching you compete!

Here is the broadcast information for Tuesday, January 2nd.
Events: Women's 3000M and Men's 5000M
The broadcast is on NBCSN (NBC Sports Network). It is also available on NBC streaming. 
Broadcast times: 4:30-6pm (Central) (Please adjust if you are in another time zone)
(Comcast has some incorrect listing of events. If your cable system says some different distance, what I have listed above is what is being raced on Tuesday.)

The Ladies begin racing at 3:45pm. Hannah will be in pair 3 at approx 4:07.

The Men begin racing at 4:45pm. Ethan in pair 7 at approx 5:40.

Long Track Secures 16 Quota Spots For Olympic Games

DEC. 26, 2017, 3:12 P.M. (ET)
US Speedskating has qualified 16 long track spots for the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. Team USA can take a maximum of eight men and eight women based on their performance at the first four ISU Long Track World Cups during the 2017-18 season.
Team USA will have a total of 25 racing spots available but can only have a maximum number of 16 different skaters fill those spots due to ISU quota allocation rules.

The U.S. has reserve spots in the women’s Team Pursuit (1st reserve), the men’s 5000m (3rd reserve) and the women’s 3000m (6th reserve).

U.S. skaters will qualify for the 16 total spots at U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Speed Skating from Jan. 2-7, 2018 at the Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If an athlete secures multiple distance spots at Trials, the U.S. will take less than 16 skaters. For full U.S. Team athlete selection procedures, click here.
Tickets for U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Speed Skating are now available and can be purchased here. If you can’t make it to Trials, make sure to watch the coverage live on NBC Sports Network:
