Please consider supporting Glen Ellyn Speed Skating and the Chicago Silver Skates through our GoFundMe Page as we pay tribute to the past as a means to inspire and fund the future!

The Silver Skates alone, with the special medals and pins plus ice and other expenses costs $7,500. 

In addition, throughout the year, the club furnishes ice, coaching, equipment and other support that exceeds $40,000 not counting volunteer time and donations. 

The club is a volunteer organization. Fees paid by members make up 99% of the revenue. 

We cannot do things like the special pins and medals for the meet, or, provide safety padding or loaner skates without donations. 

We also lose young athletes who can't participate due to financial hardship. We need to do more to grow participation. 

Anything you can donate will be put directly to use recruiting, retaining and developing athletes in speedskating. 

Sponsorship opportunities are also available with exposure through our website and Facebook page, at events like the Silver Skates, mat signage, SpeediCast and other means.
