The 100th Annual Chicago Silver Skates is coming up fast! October 29th is the big day...
What can or should you do now? Here's some ideas along with key deadlines and dates -
#1 - BUY A T-SHIRT! Show your spirit, promote the event, get a souvenir, raise funds for the club by buying a special commemorative t-shirt!
You can order shirts in your size and in six different colors AND save 20% off the price if you pre-order.
But pre-orders close today, so go to the link and order soon!
Shirts are $20 if pre-ordered and will be delivered to you for pick up at the meet on the 29th, or, shipped to you if you won't be at the meet.
Pay at the meet when you pick them up.

You must act today to pre-order! The link will close by 10pm tonight, Thu Oct 12th!
Only limited sizes in the color blue will be available for sale at the meet and the cost will be $25.
#2 - Invite a friend to compete!
Get in touch with your friends in the club, and, your friends and fellow competitors from other places and encourage them to sign up to race!
The meets are more fun and exciting when more are racing. Let your friends know you hope to see them there!
We have a great host hotel deal at the Chicago Marriott Northwest for $79.00 USD plus tax per
night for a double room or a king/sofa room, for the night of October 28th.

#3 - Sign up to compete yourself!
Don't wait for the Oct 26th entry deadline - secure your place now!
The meet will feature some special items in honor of the 100th Anniversary including:
Custom designed recreations of the original medals awarded, made from pure sterling silver medals weighing in at 1 ounce to the top 3 places in each division
Solid brass, throwback participation pins and ribbons for all competitors and officials.

#4 - Invite your friends, family, and other fans to come to the event and watch in person!
October 29th, 8:30am to approx 3:00pm at the Triphahn Ice Arena at 1685 W. Higgins Rd., Hoffman Estates, IL 60169.
Admission is free!
#5 - Let your friends and your family and fans know the meet will be webcast live on SpeediCast so people can follow you from far away!

#6 - Volunteer to help! We need timers and judges and other types of help. No experience necessary! We will train you.

#7 - Donate!
We can use items for raffle prizes and a silent auction or to put in skater goody bags, or food and drink to provide to skaters and officials.
We can also use cash.
We are looking for sponsors and donors to support the club in managing the costs of putting on the event and making it special.

#8 - Promote the event! Post info to share on social media, talk it up at school, work, among family or in your other communities as well.
