SCP - Containment Breach was created by Regalis and released on April 5, 2012. The game includes many of the well-known SCP objects from the SCP Foundation site with the main antagonist being SCP-073. It is the subject of this wiki.
SCP-087-B is an unofficial sequel to SCP-087 and is similar to it, but with a different visual take on the stairwell structures and SCP-087-B. The game was created by Regalis on January 8, 2014. The game includes some enemies that attack the player if the player is not looking at them. This game is considered a stepping stone to SCP - Containment Breach.
You play as a D-Class with the given objective of collecting 5 Artifacts and returning safely with the possessions. SCP-432. Equipped with a Flashlight and a couple of glowsticks you are left with very little light. You must also be on the watch for SCP-432-1 and the artifacts. Once you have the artifacts search for a metal door and escape the cabinet. Currently there is another game with the same idea with a different purpose which is about finding a box somewhere in the maze.
The game has a custom game engine made from nothing but core logic, effort and time. Currently being developed by one person "Aubarino / AubarinoEmpire" so the release may be delayed, but the longer it takes the more effort and content will be in the finished product.Better content-rich then rushed and sloppy.
SCP - New View is a top-down horror shooter SCP game where you play as an MTF unit, attempting to salvage the situation during a containment breach. It was first made avaiable in 2019. The game was formerly known as SCP - Recontainment.
The developers info page claims "Story Mode/Full game: Aimed for 2020", but that doesn't seem quite realistic (Dec 2020 now), but the devs are active on twitter and seem to continue to develop the game.
"A VR/Desktop game where you are a new D-Class personnel in a secret SCP research facility when everything falls apart. Use what you can find as you explore the facility, access logs to learn about the SCP entities in containment, and run for your life from the SCP entities that have escaped."
The game has been in works since 2014, but the primal code was abandoned. The project had a 2015 Trailer, was named "Five Nights in SCP facility"). The game is based on SCP:CB and popular game series Five Nights at Freddy's.
a game project is structured into different game modes giving a broad view of different multiplayer and singleplayer SCP scenarios. With currently over 30 SCPs, we aim to have the most comprehensive and ambitious SCP experience to date.
SCP: Labrat is a faithful VR recreation of SCP - Containment Breach by Undertow Games. SCP Labrat utilizes the Unity engine for a modernized SCP - CB experience. SCP: Labrat follows the original story of SCP - CB, but adds new SCPs, events, and mechanics. Choose either singleplayer or multiplayer to escape the facility and the SCPs.
SCP - Recovery is a singleplayer SCP horror game in development, where you play as an agent who's part of a team of agents who recover a lost foundation facility. The Only/first mention of the game is from a Sept 2020 Dev Post, andgame's development is seemingly being kept private. However, it is currently in alpha and is planned for a 2023 release.[citation needed]
One of the plans for the game, in order to set it apart from other SCP horror games, is the ability to fight back against hostiles as a last effort. However, it should be made clear that this feature should not be abused; the game will encourage staying clear of threats - running and hiding - instead, and fighting back against threats should, again, only be treated as a last-ditch effort, especially since resources are tight, meaning the player will usually only have their fists to fight back. While it will be possible to fight back with random debris lying around the site, effective weapons are scarce, such as guns which are effectively rare, and ammo which is almost as rare.
Not much is known about this game, other than the fact that the Developers that are currently working on it are the same people who were involved in the development of SCP Unity, and that the game will be made in Unreal Engine 4.
087 is a psychological supernatural horror game project that inspired by SCP-087-B. In July 2020 the Devs posted on VK group that a demo would be released shortly, but as the website doesn't work, and there are no updates since on Patreon nor VK gorup, it would seem the project is abandoned or paused.
Actually, we (developers of Conditional Team) think that SCP-087-B is good enough but also we believe it could be greater if it wasn't just a developer's experiment at beginning of a game developer carrier.
And we are going to break those barriers of stepping stone project. The team's target sounds like this: to create an interesting horror game with long narrative that will contain well-known original game mechanics and realize new gamedev trends. And we plan to achieve this target.
And our more concrete goal is to close the 087 project that contains some things of the original game and realizes new story, beautiful, well-stylized graphics, good performance, and atmospheric sounds describing game-happening context. ...and our goal is to reach extraordinary level in arts of interactions.
This game has been canceled and rebranded into "In The Balance: Ascension". Kickstarter for this original project plan is actively being refunded, in addition to original supporters still gaining access to the rebranded game in the future. May 2020 KS Update
SCP: Rebirth is a singleplayer game currently in development by Pig's Indie Games, first announced on June 14, 2018, with a teaser trailer. The game will feature numerous different SCPs and unique characters throughout the storyline, as well as numerous different endings. Certain assets from Containment Breach, such as SCP-173 and its neck-snap SFX, are reused for the game.
As of Dec 2020, the game seems to have stopped development, and the creator's Youtube channel haven't posted anything related to the game since the 2018 trailer, seemingly moved on to other game projects.
As of January 2021, the game has been officially canceled due to the Head Developer's health decreasing because of the constant stress created by/during the SCP Unity Project. The rest of the Developers have moved on to create another SCP game, this time only focusing on a single SCP. It is currently titled 'Project Aethon'.
It was at the beginning of this year that I found a multiplayer title for one of the biggest cult classic games, SCP: Containment Breach. The multiplayer is titled "SCP: Secret Laboratory" and the game launched on steam in Beta form. With a few hours of gameplay put into the game, I have to say that it is a lot of fun IF you can get it to work.
By that I mean that it is hard to get into a server. Making one requires contacting the developer, which I have done over a week ago and have yet to get a response. The "Find Match" tool is there and can work sometimes, but most of the time it won't get you into a game thanks to it being full or just timing out. You will have to use "Direct Connect" majority of the time and this can only be done by knowing the IP address to the server. I was lucky enough to find someone that had a list they could provide me, but I can't imagine how hard it was to get that together. If you are interested in trying the game, I put the IP address list in my original coverage of the game.
In SCP: Secret Laboratory you can play as one of the multiple roles known to be in SCP: Containment Breach. Unlike the original single player game, you will have the ability to play as a Nine-Tailed Fox, Chaos Insurgency, Scientist, D-Personnel, or one of four different SCP's.
If you start out as either of the militia groups, Nine-Tailed Fox or Chaos Insurgency, you will start out with a key card that gives a variety of access that depends on your rank on the team. You will also be given a weapon and have the possibility of receiving a grenade, health kit, and some other helpful items. From start you surge into the building from one of the two elevator entrances and find your way deep into the facility in order to complete your objective.
The accuracy on the weapons is pretty bad and forces you to realign your sight on your target, which can be rather frustrating when facing an SCP, but isn't a big deal when challenging opposing militia or civilian players. The grenade is the best weapon in the game because of how much damage it does when it explodes, but landing that hit directly on an SCP will take some practice.
If you start as a Scientist you will have a key card, but that is it. D-Personnel players start with nothing and will have to find their own key card. There are plenty all over the facility, so this isn't a problem. From here you want to find SCP-914, the strange machine, so that you could try and get your key card upgrade to have enough access to leave the facility. It is possible to escape without the help of your partnered militia team.
SCP's have kind of a different control set. SCP-173 is incredibly fast, but as in the main game he can only move when nobody is looking at him. A blinking mechanism is activated in the game for all players when SCP-173 is nearby. He has a huge amount of health, but if you don't play this one right then you could easily get killed as quick as you would imagine it takes to sneak up on somebody and break their necks.
SCP-049, the plague doctor, is my favorite thanks to his ability to kill players the moment he touches them (as it is described on his description sheet). He is also able to resurrect fallen players to become SCP-049-1 type characters. His health is also rather large, but his movement is much more free to how the user wishes to play.
SCP-079, the computer, lets you have the ability to move about the facility by jumping into different cameras in the facility. You have the ability to close, open, and lock doors. This is handy if you work with your fellow SCP players and try and trap or lure players into places for the other SCP's to kill them.
