The Acrobat online PDF filler tool lets you go paperless by completing fillable fields and signing documents online. After uploading a PDF, use the form filler toolbar to fill PDF form fields, including checkboxes. The online PDF editor tools also let you add text boxes, crossmarks, checkmarks, circles, lines, and dots. Then use the e-signing tools to create e-signatures, placing your signature or initials anywhere in the file. Sign in to save your file to Adobe cloud storage and download your completed form.
If you try Adobe Acrobat Pro for free for seven days on Windows or Mac, you can request signatures by sending files to other signers to e-sign fast without any hassles. Recipients receive a user-friendly link by email that allows them to sign the document online in minutes for free without downloading Acrobat. You can track the signing process, receiving real-time workflow notifications with an audit trail for easy document management.
Subscribers to the Acrobat Pro trial get access to advanced features. You can collect digital signatures with validation, add timestamps, create PDF docs, edit PDF files with PDF editor markup tools, use OCR functionality, create fillable PDF forms and templates, annotate files, resize pages, add watermarks, and convert files to and from PDF, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word documents. Convert PNG, JPG, and other image file formats too. You can also use Acrobat PDF tools on the go with the Adobe Acrobat Reader mobile app, available for your mobile device, including iPhones, other mobile phones, and tablets, such as iPads or touchpads.
No more printing. No more signing by hand. No more mailing back forms. With the Fill & Sign tool, you can easily fill out PDF forms, sign them, and send your forms electronically right from your desktop, browser, or mobile app.
Save time when you fill form fields with the Acrobat form filler tools. You can save data securely in a personal autofill collection and let Adobe Sensei, our AI, detect the right field and automatically fill it out next time.
When I open up ANY pdf the fill and sign tool is not either in shortcuts or the menu. I checked the security settings of the pdf and all permissions to adapt or sign were allowed. I tried using the tool and using the menu, but nothing happened at all.
Hey, for anyone wondering I found the fix for the missing Fill and Sign. Go to edit > Preferences and go to language. From here ensure that it is set to OS, for me it was Arabic and English, restart the application fully and boom. Fill and sign reappeared.
I did not get the tool back. It doesn't show when I search, it isn't in the tools section and nothing happens when I try manually through the signature icon or the E-sign category in the top navigation.
When you click the dropdown arrow next to a tool, you have the option to remove it. I searched, but couldn't find a way to get it back if it is removed accidentally, which seems a bit odd. If there is a way and I missed it, maybe staff will let us know. If not, we can add it as a feature request to User Voice.
Hello! Just to confirm I have two more cases with that issue. It was solved by changing the Language to the same as OS as previously commented.
I've lost so much time: removeing user from Adobe Admin console, recreating, adding proper license; nothing. Then uninstalling Adobe twice, completely, still nothing...
Thanks for the support in the community, this has been of great help.
This is a quite a big/strange bug indeed... Adobe needs to fix this
Kind regards!
Still the same issue in Feb 2024. Installed the latest Acrobat and Fill and Sign was missing, after setting the language as "same as OS" it just magically reappeared. Completely absurd that Adobe still hasn't fixed such a serious bug after several months.
If it weren't for your solution my only choice would have been to download & installed a pirated previous version of Acrobat, as signing PDFs is something I need to do almost every day.
Wake up Adobe!
March 7th 2024. DOES NOT WORK. The biggest load of BS is the fact that I JUST signed a doc with my saved signature and then opened another doc after and it was gone. Unreal. This is THE ONLY REASON I USE THIS PROGRAM ADOBE. THE ONLY REASON. Stop making your customers your unpaid QA team.
I have just had the same issue. Open a document in Acrobat. Get a message that the program has been updated and I need to reboot. Reboot. Open document again in Acrobat. No sign of "Fill & Sign"as an option except in "Customise Toolbar", where nothing that I try o change allows me to "Save""all I can do is "Cancel."
Hi, im trying to sign a formulary i just created. Im trying to use a different signature from the ones i regulary use however i dont see the option anywhere. Neither in acrobat nor in Adobe fill and sign or Adobe Sign
I tried repair installing, clean installing, installing a previous version, and no dice. It's bad enough that we can't save multiple signatures, but it is literally broken now that we can't even swap out signatures. Or, for that matter, if I make a typo for my signature, now I am stuck with it until the end of time
Great news Ben! I found the files associated with the signatures & initials. It seems like there are 3 files in total; if any one of them are deleted, it will erase both the signature and initials that you have saved.
I think it will just automatically overwrite all 3 even if you delete one, as they will all have the same datemodified after recreating them. I created a quick script for my users that deletes all of them, just in case.
It appears that this signature / initials thing is a bit of an issue in Acrobat. Users can add two signatures or initials from scanned images but there is no way to delete them, other than the way you have outlined.
I had exactly this same problem, still, even after updating to the latest version, 23.003.20244. Unfortunately, deleting the file as suggested by peeters31644761 did not work. I'm on MacOS, so I just used the signing feature on Preview, which was good enough for my purposes. It's crazy that this probelm hasn't been fixed after four years.
I found another post that saved me, because as of Nov 2023 this still isn't fixed in the actual application. Luckily though, you can change it on the web here: Afterwards, you have to close the app and open it again and wait for it to refresh.
Thank you so much, I have a headache trying so many times to chance the signatures, I solved it with your instructions, I'm very grateful. (your publication is from 2019, now, in 2022 we continue with the same problem)
I have this problem as well, clicking on the "-" sign next to my already installed signature does nothing. I cannot find a way in Adobe Acrobat DC to get rid of it or replace it. I was able to use the method described here by Peeters31644761 (Thank you!) to delete the signature files in AppData...
A possible solution to not being able to enter different signatures is, once you have successfully deleted the signature files as mentioned above by peeters31644761 and JohnnyD987, when you re-add your signature, simply uncheck the "Save signature" check box.
While this doesn't allow you to save multiple signatures and it may be a little annoying having to type in your own signature every time you need to sign something, by not saving the signature, it will allow you to enter any signature you want whenever you need to sign something
The directive Yatharth provided here did NOT work for me more precisely, the "-" button does Nothing. no error message, nor any changes. Suspect this is full of bugs. same observation as benjamina87813352.
Also tried what peeters31644761 suggested. I can't even find the 3 files anywhere. My acrobat dc is installed at C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC. Search produced no security folders or signature files
When using Adobe Reader on a Windows desktop, one can open a PDF and use the fill & sign option. This option does not seem to appear on the Ubuntu version of Adobe Reader. How does one fill and sign PDF documents on Ubuntu?
As pointed out by Archisman Panigrahi in the comments, Okular also has an "Insert signature" function to insert a scan of your signature. See this tutorial for more information on how to scan your signature.
I was able to sign a pdf using The service was free and worked great! When I opened the pdf from my google drive, I selected the option to sign using dochub. I uninstalled Adobe from my Linux machine as the signing part never worked right from Snap.
