Field maps won't completely load into iOS (iPad pro) but works fine with android Galaxy 7. It seemed to work fine until I tried setting it up for Offline, but I had layers that were not syncable. Seemed to corrupt the whole project and up having to rebuild it. Now it will not load, even while online completely on the iPad Pros. The project works fine on the Galaxy 7 Android, and even keeps up as long as I have a good cellular connection in the field, but the iPads stop loading after a few second while on the home network. Leave them set for an hour, they slowly fill in, but still never completely.
We have also run into this issue in my organization. Our field officers are using iPads and have noticed that maps in Field Maps are not loading correctly on their iPads. They are not creating offline maps, but rather are simply loading maps using their cellular connection in the field. This workflow used to work fine no problem (for the past 1.5 years), but suddenly in the last week or so, the maps only partially load. We've run some experiments by simply loading the maps and waiting to see how long it takes them to load completely, and we're seeing the maps now take 40-50 minutes to load.
It is a problem because we have a point layer that the officers use to determine where to conduct inspections, so when that point layer does not load completely, they miss areas that should be inspected. Here are the specs of the iPads they are using:
iOS: 15.3.1 and 15.1
Field Maps: 22.1.0
My ipad was accidentally put on Siri stating every item on my screen. When I go to unlock it, I cannot find where to enter my passcode. Siri says "enter passcode" then when I go to first space "empty password field 4 values required. Secure. Text field is aiding (?)" But does not let me enter the code. It sometimes by chance, it seems, says something like "insertion point at start" but still doesn't let me add the code. How do I get to actually enter the code???
Touch or tap the field that you want to use/select and it should get a box around it ; then double-tap that field to activate/type it. Once you've entered your password you can do the same (i.e. touch to select, double-tap to activate) to gradually get into Settings > General > Accessibility > VoiceOver and turn it off.
Mail merge allows you to create custom fields that populate with information from sources like the Contacts app or a Numbers spreadsheet. Some document templates (like Party Invitation and Technical Certificate) include preset mail merge fields, but you can also add your own. After adding merge fields to a document, you can quickly and automatically create multiple custom documents for things like personalized letters, certificates, and more.
There are two types of merge fields, recipient or sender, which populate with related information (like first name or address, for example). New merge fields are typically recipient fields by default.
Every time I reset my Apple password, System Prefs pops up on my MacBook Pro, telling me that iCloud needs the password too. So far, so good. I put in the password and it asks for a verification code that's been sent to my phone. Also fine. The code turns up on my phone. The problem is - there's then nowhere to put in this verification code. I'm left staring at the System Prefs window that says "An Apple ID verification code is required. Type your password followed by the verification code shown on your other devices." But there's no field. I can't even try to re-enter the password. The only icons I can select are "Account Details" or "Sign Out" which are both useless. Incredibly frustrating. What am I doing wrong?
I've managed to solve the problem by getting the code sent to my phone, quickly shutting down System Prefs entirely, then re-booting it so I can access the password field again. I don't know what people would do if they also have an older iPhone though.
If you use two-factor authentication with devices running older OS versions, you might be asked to add your six-digit verification code to the end of your password when signing in. Get your verification codefrom a trusted device running iOS 9 and later or OS X El Capitan and later, or have it sent to your trusted phone number. Then type your password followed by the six-digit verification code directly into the password field.
I have an input field in which I use ui-mask on. I was doing some QA and noticed that it shows when entering text on Ipad devices on Safari, I can see caret moving positions but i cannot see any text. This works fine on desktop browsers and mobile devices like nexus 5, samsung s6 but on ipad safari it doesn't work as expected.
The Data Change Request Notes field is optional (Notes_vod field of the Data Change Request object). Enter the reason for the changes or other notes for the Data Steward or equivalent responsible person.
It is normal for the iPad platform to generate more supplemental DCR lines than the Browser (Classic) platform. Each field on the page layout with a value (including default value, but excluding system fields like LastModifiedDate) is created by a DCR line. Only DCR lines mapped to Network fields are sent to Network.
When a user has access to the DCR object and the Account_vod record type, an Account Edit DCR page displays after the user taps the Edit button. DCR-controlled fields display with a lock icon on the right side. If the user changes a value on any DCR-controlled fields, a Data Change Request confirmation window displays when the user taps Save.
The top section of the Data Change Request confirmation window is a Notes field (Notes_vod field of the Data Change Request object). Enter the reason for the changes or other notes for the Data Steward or equivalent responsible person. The Notes field is an optional field, but it can be made a Required field by enforcing it on the DCR page layout.
Only the DCR controlled fields on the account display in the bottom section of the Data Change Request confirmation window. The New Value displays along with the Field Name and Old Value, and is prepopulated based on Current Value. The New Value field highlights in orange.
The Data Change Request Notes field is not required.(Notes_vod field of the Data Change Request object). It can be made a Required field by enforcing it on the DCR page layout. Enter the reason for the changes or other notes for the Data Steward or equivalent responsible person.
When a user has access to the DCR object and the Address_vod record type, they can submit an Edit Address DCR. DCR-controlled fields display with a lock icon on the right side. The User can change the value as needed on the page. A Data Change Request confirmation window displays when the user taps Save.
Only the DCR controlled fields on the address are shown in the bottom section of the Data Change Request confirmation window. The New Value displays along with the Field Name and Old Value, and is pre-populated based on Current Value. The New Value field highlights in orange.
The user can select the Parent account and set it to Primary, if applicable; the user can then select the Child account. The DCR Notes (Notes_vod field of the Data Change Request object) is not required. It can be made a Required field by enforcing it on the DCR page layout. Enter the reason for the DCR or other notes for the Data Steward or equivalent responsible person.
When a user has access to the DCR object and the Child_Account_vod record type, they can submit an Edit Child Account DCR. DCR-controlled fields display with a lock icon on the right side. The user can change the value as needed on the page. A Data Change Request confirmation window displays when the user taps Save.
Only the DCR controlled fields on the child account are shown in the bottom section of the Data Change Request confirmation window. The New Value displays along with the Field Name and Old Value, and is pre-populated based on Current Value. The New Value field highlights in orange.
The Parent Account Wizard (PAW) or New Account Wizard (NAW) displays the full account preview page during the account creation process. Users can edit all fields before saving the DCR, allowing more information on the account, like the NPI or phone number. This supplemental information helps the data steward verify the account more effectively.
