Hey guys,

I am so excited to tell you that camp is finally putting together an alumni reunion weekend and I am on the planning committee! I'm sure you miss camp as much as I do, and I think it’ll be awesome to be back up there all together. Mark your calendars, as the reunion weekend at camp is August 16-18. The event will officially be announced around March 15^th, and more details will be provided at that time; however, I wanted to let you know in advance as space will be limited.

Keep an eye out for e-mails from camp for the sign-up info. Let me know if you have any questions!

Camp is gearing up for its now-annual benefit.  On Sunday, March 17, there will be a Top Chef Ramah cocktails-and-cooking-competition event at Adath Israel, in Merion Station, PA.  If you or your families can participate, it promises to be a great event that will support sending kids to camp!  (see below for more info)

Instead of a regular ad book this year, they are putting together a Taste of Ramah cookbook, which will include both recipes and ads.  Would folks want to consider putting in an ad from the edah again this year?  It is $180 for a 'Meltzar'-level ad (1/8 of a page), $360 for a 'Bishul'-level ad (1/4 of a page).  Last year, Andi coordinated a wonderfully efficient system to contribute money toward a group ad - perhaps we can do this again!

Lastly, if you or your family members have recipes you would like to share with the camp community (think of Bubbe's unreal chicken soup, or your never-fail Shabbat shnitzel recipe), please consider contributing that as well.  And pass this info on to anyone you think may be interested!

I have heard back from about 15 people who are interested in contributing - awesome!  Andi has graciously re-set up the widget we used last year:

I would say donate however much you feel comfortable, ideally $18-$36.  If we don't get quite to $360, we can still get the smaller ad, and then donate the rest to the Gesher Fund.

The donation link may display last year's total when you click on it.  If it looks like we have already flown past our goal, it is because there was already $386 in the pot.  So we really need to hit $566-$746 on that meter in order to get an ad for this year's book.

Spoke to my boyfriend and doesn't sound like Serve supports widgets anymore so I think there will be some issues using it.

Does anyone have Chase? If so, I would suggest we use their Chase Quick Pay Account. This feature would allow us to send the person with the Chase account money electronically.

If we go the chase route, jule, who do we give the money to? I have chase and can do it...can other banks? If not, is there a way to I've directly to camp and just denote that it's part of gesher 2000's contribution maybe?

Would people feel comfortable transferring the money directly to my checking?  I promise I won't abscond with it or use it for a fancy dinner.  If we don't hit $360, I will use $180 for a small ad for the book, and donate the rest to the Gesher Fund.
