Hi G2K -
I hope everyone is doing well. You are probably aware that Ramah's once-a-year Chai Campaign is underway. G2K is taking part in a new initiative where we are competing against five other edot for the opportunity to have a reunion up at camp on a Sunday this summer including: meals in the Chadar, Jericho's compliments of Ramah, and a chance to relive the wonderful memories that Ramah gave us. The edah with the best participation (by number of donors) will win.
Ramah's leadership is changing over and it is our generation that is now the driving force for the future. We are all familiar with Joel and he has created an air of excitement at Camp. Although many of us gave to our Gesher fund, which provides scholarships, the Chai Campaign supports important capital improvements and new programming such as the introduction of the Tikvah program coming in Kayitz 2016.
We have already received ~$1,000 from five donors but what truly matters is participation from the whole edah in whatever amount is possible for your family.
Will you please talk it over with your spouses/families/selves and go to the site and make a meaningful contribution to the Chai Campaign? The next generation of campers will thank you for it!
Please feel free to forward to anybody whose email I do not have or your families if they have not received Chai Campaign communications.
Shabbat shalom!
Rick (and Micaela,and Ava)
